White Grubs and Sod Webworm

WHITE GRUB AND JAPANESE
BEETLE CONTROL

In certain regions of Canada, white grubs and Japanese beetles are a threat to lawn health.

White grubs, in the shape of a “C”, are insect pests found in the soil. White in colour, with a brown head, they can reach up to 2.5 cm (1 inch) in length.

Only a preventative treatment can control a white grub or Japanese beetle infestation.

SOD WEBWORM CONTROL

Sod webworm larvae are beige with small brown spots on each side of their body. Lawn damage occurs at the end of August and intensifies during September. The yellowed patches of grass can be easily pulled out. The root system stays in place because the larva eats mainly stems and leaves.

If the adults are found in June, curative treatment must be carried out.
